NOTIFIED BODIES

These are Government appointed organisations who are employed by the manufacturer (When required) to assess conformity with the requirements of the RCD. They have only limited interest in craft of less than 12m and none in design category D craft. The Notified Body provides the official certification of the craft based on the Technical documentation supplied by JB.

JB can liase with the Notified Body and provide the interface for the manufacturer/representative and the Notified Body.
