 Recreational Craft Directive "CE" Marking Recreational Craft Directive 

JB can undertake the RCD certification (CE marking) of your boat. JB can assist you with the Technical documentation, Stability assessment and Compliance Certification. JB has worked with the RCD system since it's first implementation (for Princess and Moody Yachts) and now works in conjunction with Notified Bodies to provide a solution to your RCD/CE Marking needs.

The Certification process is relatively simple as most of the standards generally follow 'good practice' in their application. Completion of the Technical file is relatively straight-forward and is a process of designing or checking the craft in a logical order against the relevant harmonised or ISO standards. For finished boats, most problems that occur come with older craft being imported when there is little or no technical documentation of the systems installed. Certainly the key to obtaining certification is to obtain as much of the builders' technical documentation as possible. Ideally, this includes obtaining an owners manual for the craft.
