The first boat "Jet Blaster" is operating in Gran Canaria and is a huge success with the tourists. Capable of 360 degree spins, this boat looks the part and performs amazingly. The owner claims a 55 Knot top speed in calm water. The first of class is built using 5083 H321 and 6082-T6 Aluminium and is Powered by 2 Crusader 8.1 Petrol engines running 2 Berkeley 12JG waterjets. This is a serious fun boat (see the video below).
The new and slightly improved design has a slightly higher cockpit deck and bulwarks, giving a slightly deeper boat. The boat is designed to meet ISO 12217-1 for stability and buoyancy requirements of Category C and the structure is designed to easily meet the requirements of ISO12215-5. This boat is now available as a kit based on 2 x Hamilton HJ213 Waterjets with Yanmar 6LPA-STP engines for an anticipated top speed of 37 Knots, although other machinery can be incorporated. The boat carries 12 passengers and one helmsman.
